Crafting artisan goods because what else would you do with an education in horticulture?
A California native Desiree Moring got her education in horticulture after returning home from sailing the Caribbean for a year and a half. While she was in college her son Owen was born and getting a “real” job while breast feeding an infant is no easy task, so what else is there to do when you can only get out of the house one day a week for two hours but become a professional ceramics artist.
8 years later ceramics is her full time career including teaching others the joy of playing in the mud. She also enjoys jewelry making, paper crafts, and any opportunity to mix more than one media.
